One of the major things I saw with my group was that we weren’t reshooting. When we explained why the most common explanation was they were timed shots or the lighting wasn't the best. For myself, I will spend multiple hours trying to get the best shots for now on knowing how important it is. I hope my group members understand the value of this too, but I'll try my best to explain it to them before the weekend. There is a rainbow shot we need and my group and I were stuck on how we were gonna get that. We couldn’t necessarily wait for its rain and hope for the best. So during class, as we were editing an amazing idea hit me on how we could create this shot. The best part was me and my group member came up with it at the same time. We were gonna use simple science and use a hose and flashlight or sun. One down 6 more to go.
Another shot we have been struggling on was the dark blessed night and also people by shot. For us to match the lyrics we really need these shots. The dark blessed night was gonna be the hardest since there is no lightning and we do not know a lot about lights. I am going to film my dad or someone in a rocking chair at night looking at the sky. My fellow group member is going to attempt the same thing but use a fireplace as the lighting. The other shot will be taken by the group member with the camera. Since we need a steady shot of people walking by the camera can not move. I might go to the mall and get a portrait shot so it will blur the faces and try to record this shot. I think it's best that it will be recorded with the camera. I recently had an accident and jacked up my right pinky. I am hoping it will not affect the quality of the videos that I record.
